Anna Maria Island in Gulf Coast - Florida

Anna Maria Island is renowned for its picturesque white sand coastline, sparkling clear sea, quaint buildings, and wonderfully relaxed pace of life. For these reasons, it is a sought after holiday destination, but whilst it enjoys tourism from all over the world, it still manages to retain its charm. The island is just seven miles long, and comprised of three individual regions; Anna Maria town, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach. All three have a fantastic selection of unique restaurants, quirky shops, and both gulf and bay front beaches. The island also offers an abundance of activities such as boating, fishing, all types of water sports, and shelling. Anna Maria is located eight miles west of Bradenton, connected by the Manatee and Cortez bridges. It is one hour from Tampa airport, and two hours from Orlando, making it an easily accessible peaceful island retreat.
