Try a Polis restaurant on a Cyprus holiday

Cyprus villa guests can enjoy some quality cuisine during their holiday this year by paying a visit to Polis.

The town's culinary scene recently received a glowing review from food critic Jill Campbell Mackay in the Cyprus Mail.

Ms Campbell Mackay said that the resort is home to restaurants serving "quality food" that has a "solid but highly definable character".

She started a meal in the old town area of Polis with hot rolls and squash soup, which she said was "creamy, delicious and packed with herbs to give it a warming punch to the palette".

This was followed by pasta with squid, before wood pigeon was served up for the main course.

People who visit Polis to try some local cuisine during a Cyprus holiday can choose from several other options on restaurant menus, including dishes based on locally sourced seafood.

Polis is a small town located in north-west Cyprus, not far from other popular resorts such as Paphos and Latchi.
