Cyprus villa occupants may soon have Ryanair option
Holiday makers could soon travel to their villa in Cyprus on a budget flight with Ryanair.
According to a report by Travel Mole, the low-cost carrier has not ruled out the possibility of opening a route between the UK and the Mediterranean island.
There had been speculation that the airline had been persuaded not to journey to Cyprus by rival firms, but a spokesman says this is incorrect.
The representative for Ryanair tells the online publication: "Cyprus is a long-sector market and we have only just started developing these routes. We already fly to Greece from other European destinations, but not from the UK.
His comments appear to leave the door open for flights to the island to commence at some point in the future, allowing those staying in villas in Cyprus to arrive in a cost-effective manner.
Cyprus is already served from the UK by other budget firms such as easyJet and Monarch.
