Cyprus holidays 'have much to offer'
Britons considering a eurozone break may do well to book a Cyprus holiday.
This is according to the Daily Mail, which says that the island can be an ideal option thanks to its beautiful coast, guaranteed warm climate and reasonable prices.
"It has plenty of variety, from remote mountain villages barely touched by tourism, to the neon-lit nightlife of towns such as Ayia Napa and Paphos for those with teenagers in tow," it states.
The newspaper notes that while Greek Cyprus took up the euro two years ago, the island's historic links with Britain means local businesses keep prices competitive to ensure they retain British holiday makers' custom.
It recommends visiting local tavernas for high-quality, authentic food and taking in historic sights such as the fort at Paphos Harbour.
Cyprus villas can be found in areas such as Pissouri, Aphrodite Hills, Coral Bay and St George for those looking to sample the attractions of Paphos without dealing with the issues related to staying in a normal hotel.
