"The holiday from start to finish was superb.Everybody was so pleasant and polite, the staff (cleaning and gardening) very helpful.Would definitely use James Villas again and stay at Villa Do Mar. Gale is a lovely location, beaches are beautiful with very friendly restaurants serving excellent food."

"The villa was in a quiet location just a few minutes walk to the beach, a couple of restaurants and a very good supermarket. The villa and the pool and grounds were clean and well maintained with cleaners and a pool maintenance man visiting mid week. The pool area was great with the sun being full on mid day, but whatever time of day there was always an area getting the sun and the opportunity to sunbathe. The villa was very secure which made you feel quite safe to leave your belongings while you went out and about. It also had a safety deposit box. My only little moan was in regards to the comfort of the beds which are ok if you don't mind a very firm matterress. we did find them too hard for us."

"We were thrilled with the villa,it was well kept and we had everything that we needed. we were impressed that it was cleaned every other day.The location of the villa was in walking distance to the beach, the only thing was that the restaurant and bars were scattered about and they was no central town. The next town Albuferia was good for bars and restaurants and was cheap to get too by taxi."

"Wonderful for a quiet week away. Spotlessly clean. Everything you could need in the villa. Within walking distance of all the restaurants, shops and a beautiful beach. A short taxi drive from Albufeira for a busier night/day out. Couldn't fault this holiday. The only tiny gripe I could find was that the pillows were very hard, but after a night or so we became used to them."

"This is the 6th James Villa holiday that we have enjoyed. Of all of the villas so far this one (Villa Do Mar) has been the best equipped. Everything that was required was available for use. The cleanliness of villa was second to none..... bedding towels changed regularly, and inside of house spotless, as was exterior, including cleanliness of pool. Top marks to the members of staff employed by owner."

"our rep, was extremely helpful - she made special visits to us to deliver written directions to get to certain restuarants and the local market. Also, when we considered extending our holiday (unfortunately, the weather was not great when we arrived but it was glorious by the time we left!) she looked into changing our flights and the cost of another villa for us as ours was booked up. the only downside to the holiday really was the poor weather to start and the mosquitos - which we weren't aware there was a problem with as we had not been to Portugal before."
