Carvoeiro in Algarve

The pretty, family-friendly resort of Carvoeiro has a beautiful golden beach sheltered by stunning cliffs. When the beach gets a little crowded in peak season, boat trips can take you to quieter coves along the coast or to see the amazing caves and rock formations at Algar Seco Natural Park. This bustling town has plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained after the beach. Two excellent golf courses can also be found at the nearby Carvoeiro Club.

Carvoeiro reviews

Mr Vorley, Guildford, July 2010
start-quote review The villa is in a great location, which is a purpose built, attractive small village. There's about 4 reasonable to good restaurants within the complex, all within a 1 minute walk from the villa. Although the village centre is very close, the villa is very, very quiet and secluded. So the best of both worlds really. A couple of points on the location and villa. Firstly, the on-site supermarket has closed down, so you need to travel a little way - which is no problem with a car. The local beach is close by, but is on a very, very steep hill with lots of steps in between. We actually ventured to other beaches, which are all close by and easy to reach by car. The town itself is very pretty, but parking is extremely difficult in peak season. The villa is great, very clean and the maid who visited every day was very pleasant. Note that you only have use of the downstairs of the villa. The upstairs presumably contains all the owners things, which is kept vacant. The grounds are fantastic, very pretty and the pool is heated. The living area is mixed with kitchen, lounge and dining room, which makes it feel cramped inside - but the outside space is so big, it doesn't represent a problem. In summary, great location, lovely villa, lovely town - but the living lay out, does make the villa feel slightly expensive for what it is. However, we would certainly recommend it and would come again. end-quote review
