Bordeira in Algarve
The tiny rural hamlet of Bordeira has a few local shops, small bars and simple country restaurants offering traditional Portuguese cuisine. In Bordeira you’ll be able to enjoy picturesque countryside views as well as sea views to the coastal area of Faro, which is a short drive away for anyone missing the beach. For a wider range of amenities, the towns of Loule and Sao Bras are not far away.

We have stayed at Casa California for a number of sucessive holidays. My one crticism is that the info pack in the villa could provide more details of local restaurants and locations of supermarkets. However, we know know the area and have our favourites wher we go - the local "crash barrier" restaurant - Flor de Amexia is a must, simple good well cooked at reasonable prices. Go there to see why we call it the crash barrier restaurant! It would alsdo be helpful if the fans in the bedrooms had longer extension cables so you have a choice on where to place them
