Why not try Easter in Assisi?

According to Perugia Online, the traditional Good Friday procession will take place on April 10th and take in a whole host of marvellous monasteries along the way.

The procession with make its way from the Cathedral of San Rufino to St Francis at around 7:30pm, which gives holiday makers plenty of time to relax in their villa during the day before driving to Assisi in the evening.

A range of villas are located throughout the relaxing Umbrian countryside which are ideal for exploring the historic towns of the region.

Located high in the Tiber valley is the town of Todi, which is packed with history and culture and is a comfortable drive from Assisi - as well as Porchiano, San Vernanzo and Montecastello di Vibio.

Villas here all come with private pools and may be perfect for a relaxing family holiday this Easter.
