Why gnot visit the Gnocchi Festival on a villa holiday
Those who are visiting Italy in June of this year could mark a date in their holiday dairy for the Gnocchi Festival in Ponte della Pietra.
It will take place between June 19th and June 28th - so there will be plenty of time for some gastronomic fun.
According to Perugia Online, the "full versatility of gnocchi will be explored" as part of the fun-filled festivities on offer.
Meanwhile, the celebration will also be "livened up" by traditional games and music.
Ponte della Pietra can be found in Perugia and could be an ideal place to visit for those renting a villa in the medieval town of Magione in Umbria.
Holiday makers staying in Magione can visit Perugia and also Lake Trasimeno, while it is also surrounded by a whole host of other small ancient villages that may be worth a visit.
It is also home to a large fortress on the top of a hill that dominates the local area.
