Piano Festival arrives in Umbria
According to Perugia Online, the event kicked off on April 17th and will run until May 3rd.
The news provider says it combines "innovation and tradition", with a total of eight concerts covering all kinds of musical genre - from classical to jazz through to minimalism and even film music.
It may also delight Umbria holiday makers that the festival will host a concert of unusual musical specifically created for children.
Perugia Online adds the event, now in its 13th year, will "once more include the popular international masterclass conducted by Sergio Perticaroli, emeritus professor of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome".
Holiday makers heading to Umbria will find it is a peaceful idyll at the heart of Italy - and a region that is home to numerous medieval cities, stunning countryside, warm locals and rustic farmsteads.
