Fall in love with the Marmore falls

Bella Umbria describes the falls as "an absolute must" for everyone who visits the region and anyone who has visited could find it hard to disagree.

One of the most fascinating elements of the attraction is that, although they are surrounded by vast swathes of unbelievable lush, natural beauty, the 165-metres high falls are actually a construct of the Romans.

Holiday makers in Umbria can choose to cool off in a variety of different ways but a face full of spray from the highest waterfall in Europe may be the most fun.

Meanwhile, visitors on an Umbria holiday who choose to stay in a villa in the history-rich Todi, Perugia, can also cool off with an iced cocktail by their private pool.
