Visit the 'eighth wonder of the world'
On his recent trip to the Grotta Giusti Spa, composer Giuseppe Verdi waxed lyrical about the health and wellbeing centre - and you could find out what all the fuss is about.
It can be found in Monsummano Terme, which is a matter of kilometres away from the historical cities of Florence, Pisa and Lucca.
The spa boasts a range of treatments and packages including, cold mud with thermal shower, aromatic mud, ozonised thermal bath with underwater massage, spa water micronised nasal douche, myofascial integration and osteopathic techniques for the treatment of pain and posture, according to the Italian Connection.
A spa treatment coupled with a stay in an idyllic villa in Tuscany could prove to be the best way to relax and let your worries wash away, while a dip in a private pool may also help.
