Visit Michelangelo's masterpiece on a Tuscany villa holiday

Sculpted in the early 16th century, the Statue of David can easily be described as one of the most recognisable in the whole history of art and provides a wonderful photo opportunity.

Visitors to Tuscany often head to Italy to soak up the culture and the history on offer, so it is not advisable to leave your camera at home on the kitchen table.

Holiday makers who choose to stay in Castiglion Fiorentino, Arezzo, will find it a happy hub in which to explore Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Arezzo.

Many of the ancient building in the village also house some fascinating works of art themselves but on a Tuscany villa holiday it may be considered a misdemeanour not to visit Michelangelo's masterpiece.
