Visit Florence's 'beach' on a Tuscany holiday
Before holiday makers get out their maps to check that Florence is inland; this beach is man-made and is found at the banks of the famous Arno, according to the Florentine.
Known as Lungarno Beach, Florence has reportedly followed the examples of London and Paris in creating an inner-city beach and this one comes equipped with walking paths, a volleyball court, a bar and three large cabanas to provide shelter from the Tuscan sun.
Lungarno Beach allows those on a villa holiday who are visiting Florence to lie back and relax among the "architectural and artistic jewels of Renaissance Florence, deep in the heart of the city".
Tuscany offers everything that a holiday maker could want - from beaches to breathtaking views with a healthy sprinkling of culture and class along the way.
