Tuscany villas 'a good way to inspire teenagers'
Ralph Plath writes in the Ottawa Citizen that Italy is one of the best ways to encourage young people to acknowledge the exciting adventures that can be found just a plane or boat ride away.
"With its renowned art, history, culture, food and scenery, the country can convince even the most 'chilled' teenager to get off the living room couch and explore the real world," he claims.
On his own Tuscany holiday, the journalist toured Tuscan hotspots such as Sienna, as well as visiting the cultural behemoth that is Florence.
Highlights included the Uffizi Gallery, which is said to house the best collection of Italian art in the world.
A Tuscany holiday could also take in the three-day Artigianato e Palazzo event, showcasing authentic pottery and crafts from all over Europe.
