Tuscany villa breaks 'good for wine aficionados'

The survey by Virtuoso Life magazine discovered that the largest proportion of its readers identified Tuscany as "the wine region we toast", in news that may be of interest to people booking Tuscany villa breaks.

Indeed, the entire nation of Italy won out as the "dream destination" for tourists, with a number of Tuscany locations emerging as popular among the magazine's reportedly affluent readership.

A European villa break came third in the poll's list of the top ten trips of a lifetime, while a walking tour of Italy also took third place on the rundown of great adventures compiled by the organisation.

Florence, meanwhile, was named as the city with the fifth-best architecture in the world and the second-best food.

"The response rate was considerably higher this year, which is indicative of people's continued desire to travel - to see and experience the world," says Elaine Srnka, editor of the magazine.

People inspired by the survey to book a Tuscany villa may wish to consider Ghizzano, from which Florence is easily accessible.
