Speaking to the Independent, Gladiators frontwoman Kirsty Gallacher said that a Tuscany holiday incorporating a trip to Florence was one of her most enjoyable vacations.
Gallacher noted that Florence was her favourite city, citing its culture, history and art as particular draws for the iconic urban centre.
She commented: "The food was brilliant and so was the shopping.
"I drove there after a trip to Tuscany, which is somewhere I love."
The presenter, who got her big break presenting Sky Sports News, revealed that she visited Florence as an art student, giving her insight into its numerous cultural treasures.
People looking to take a leaf out of Gallacher's book and combine a Tuscany holiday with a trip to Florence may be interested in the village of Alberoro, in Monte San Savino.
A traditional locality set against a striking countryside background, the destination is also well-placed for visits to Siena and Florence.
