Tuscany holidays are what's 'hot in 2009'
Visiting Maremma on the Italian coast has been selected as one of the top 44 things to do this year.
Holiday makers who follow this advice will be treading in the illustrious footsteps of George Clooney.
For a number of years this area of Tuscany has reportedly been the "summer playground" of Italian and English aristocrats and, with Clooney staying in the town of Bolgheri, interest has reached fever pitch.
"Classy hangouts" such as Zanzibar and the two Michelin-star restaurant Gambero Rosso can be found here, the latter being described by renowned food critic Francois Simon as his "favourite restaurant in the world".
For holiday makers who wish to see what all the fuss is about, a villa in Bibbona, Livorno, could be just the ticket - and it is ideally placed to discover Pisa, Florence or Siena too.
