Konnie Huq told the Telegraph that a Tuscany holiday she took at the age of 16 is still treasured as her best ever trip, with her memories of the Italian hotspot tinged with nostalgia.
Staying close to the iconic city of Florence, Huq went away with a group of friends and enjoyed a sense of liberation she had never before felt, the interview reveals.
"It was the first time any of us had been away without parents and we had just sat exams, so the feeling of freedom is something I've never forgotten," she explains.
Young people considering a Tuscany villa for their post-exam celebrations may be interested in Castiglion Fiorentino, which is a feasible base from which to explore attractions such as Florence and Siena.
Another TV star who recently expressed her appreciation for Tuscany holidays is Kirsty Gallagher, who told the Independent that Florence was her favourite city.
