Tuscan visit 'breaks the rules'
To holiday in Tuscany in August is to break the rules of one journalist who lived in Rome for six years and enjoyed the many pleasures that Italy has to offer.
Tim Jepson's most important rule was the 'pavement rule' - when the chairs at the local cafes started melting into the soft tar of the pavement then it was getting too hot to be an Englishman in Italy, according to the Telegraph.
However, he noted in a report on the beauty of Italy that: "After 40 minutes we peeled off the motorway and took to back roads across country, cresting hills etched with vines and cypresses and those timeless landscapes straight out of medieval paintings."
Tuscany is one of twenty regions in Italy, it is located in the north of the country and the regions capital city is Florence. It has a population of about 3.6 million people and is home to many beautiful villas and buildings.
