Try a Tuscany holiday to feast like a king
The Biennale Enogastronomica will take place until November 24th and will showcase a range of different Italian foods, aiming to present visitors with the city's rich cultural traditions.
A number of different specialities will be available for tasting on stalls, while restaurants will also feature special culinary delights.
Furthermore, an amateur bake-off will take place for those keen to get stuck in and make something themselves.
Biennale director Leonardo Romanelli, told the Florentine that the festival came about in a bid to take restaurateurs in Florence back to their roots.
"It's a way for restaurateurs to rediscover uncommon traditional dishes and innovate with tradition," he commented.
Anyone keen to get to the festival could consider booking a Santa Maria villa. The village is quiet and relaxing, but still within driving distance of the cities of Florence, Lucca and Pisa.
