The beautiful Tuscany city of Siena is to host a late-summer festival, to be held over the weekend commencing August 28th.
Known as the Aromatic City festival, a host of contemporary music acts are set to perform in the historic city centre.
Well-known for providing a mix of ethnic sounds including rock, jazz and dance, the festival is offering a typically eclectic line-up this year.
Acts performing will include local starlet Fiorella Mannoia, trying out her new Brazilian sound, and dancers from the city's Francesca Selva and Motus companies.
A particular highlight for lovers of Italian music comes with festival-openers Avion Travel, a popular rock group. They will provide reinterpretations of the more traditional music of Paolo Conte, one of Italy's most beloved performers.
Held at some of the city's most beautiful squares including the Piazza del Francesco and the Piazza del Campo, the renaissance city of Siena provides a very special atmosphere to the innovative new sounds.
