See the Scottish play on a Tuscany holiday
Holiday makers with a love for Shakespeare and Italy could combine the two on a Tuscany holiday in May.
The Teatro della Pergola will stage Macbeth between May 5th and 10th and it will be acted in Italian - giving holiday makers the chance to brush up on their language skills too.
Built back in 1656, the ancient theatre is almost as old as the play itself and the Florentine claimed that it is "now a national monument".
The show is reportedly part of a whole series of events dedicated to the Scottish play by the British Institute, which has a tradition of introducing English-speaking culture to the Italians.
Other events planned include a showing of Roman Polanski's cinematic version of Macbeth and a reading of the play at the institute in Florence.
