See a 'dazzling display' on a Tuscany holiday
Cristalli is a display of over 500 pieces of crystal. It arrived at La Secola on April 1st and will run until October 1st for those on a Tuscany holiday to enjoy.
According to organisers, visitors will be able to see "crystals of tourmaline, aquamarine, topaz and quartz surprising for their colours and nuances, agglomerates of eccentric shapes that evocate living creatures or suggest the idea of motion".
La Secola claims to be the oldest scientific museum in Europe, after being founded in 1775 by the grand duke of Tuscany Pietro Leopoldo.
It boasts sections on astronomy, physics, chemistry, comparative anatomy, mineralogy and zoology - so there are plenty of things to see and do there.
The museum is just another example of the culture that is on offer on a Tuscany villa holiday, along with Michelangelo's statue of David and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
