San Lucchese festival on a Tuscany holiday

On the April 28th the locals celebrate the life of Saint Lucchese who became an important holy man in the area.

He met Saint Francesco of Assisi and then decided to spend his life in the same way.

Holiday makers will find his body resting in the Basilica of San Lucchese and the event provides a good break from a family villa in Tuscany.

The body is brought out of the Basilica and a procession is held round the local area.

Travellers can expect to see typical produce of the local area along with a spectacular fireworks display in the evening.

Visitors to Tuscany will find the area is not just perfect for cultural and religious exploration but also a brilliant place to enjoy a relaxing villa holiday.

Taking a break beside a private villa pool or enjoying a long country walk are just two of the activities holiday makers can look forward to on a Tuscany villa holiday.
