Panoramic cinema on a Tuscany holiday
The Florence People's Festival kicks off in the 11th month of the year, introducing Tuscany holiday makers to a diverse programme of documentaries from around the world.
Events guide What's On When states that the event is expected to spark debate, confrontation and dialogue, against a backdrop of ancient architecture and cultural heritage in the iconic Italian city.
"A broad panorama of documentary cinema explores people and their countries, portraits of men and women and stories from all over the globe," the website asserts.
Visitors may wish to sample the festival while based in a Tuscany villa in Bibbona, Livorno, where beaches are nestled against rolling hills and from which Florence is accessible by car.
The events guide notes that the festival operates a free shuttle bus between venues, while film-makers and other showbusiness stars are likely to mingle with the crowds.
