Opera festival on Tuscany holiday
Taking place in the small medieval town of Barga, it has been running since 1967 and aims at giving opera lovers a learning experience.
Young musicians and singers attend the festival and try to put on smaller and less well known displays of some of the baroque era's operas.
A more modern and contemporary style is given to compositions and holiday makers will find it accessible to all ages.
Travellers taking a family villa holiday to Tuscany will find plenty of culture and entertainment to keep them busy.
Florence and Pisa are the biggest areas of culture with fantastic sites of architecture and art everywhere you look.
The leaning tower of Pisa is an attraction that is well worth a visit but if culture is not on the agenda a relaxing villa holiday with a private pool is certain to do the trick.
