Hit the beach in Florence

According to the official tourism portal for the city, an artificial beach has been created on the banks of the River Arno.

The city council built the attraction to provide tourists and locals with a place to enjoy the summer sunshine.

Located beneath the Piazza Poggi, the beach offers a variety of sun beds and deck chairs, as well as facilities for beach volleyball.

There is also a wooden gazebo with vaporizers where visitors can cool off.

A programme of special events and concerts is also planned throughout the summer until September 6th when the beach will close.

Those renting Tuscany villas in Vinci may wish to head to Florence, which is just a short drive away.

This way they can enjoy the best of all worlds, perhaps taking a walk in the Tuscan countryside in the morning, relaxing on the beach in the afternoon and exploring the city of Florence in the evening.
