Head to Florence for 'creativity and culture'
Spread over the course of four days, the cultural event is full to the brim with exhibitions and artistic performances, according to events website What's on When.
Entry is free and holiday makers that stay in a cheap villa among the hilltop medieval towns could see themselves enjoying a very affordable cultural escape.
Around 400 events will comprise the festival that attracts "thousands of international artists and art experts".
The annual event takes place on October 23rd and runs until October 26th.
Tuscany is renowned for its numerous traditional festivities that take place all year with music, art, film and dance events sprinkled throughout the calendar.
Those seeking even more culture and creativity after the festival are spoiled for choice in Florence, home to the Statue of David, the famous art gallery the Uffizi and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
All of which could make holiday makers leaning toward a villa break in Tuscany reach for their passports.
