Have a spook-tacular holiday in Tuscany
According to the Florentine, many local nightspots celebrate with themed parties and Borgo a Mozzano - near Lucca - is hosting a Halloween "extravaganza".
The party offers ghost walks and costume contests so visitors can dress up in a variety of fun and frightening disguises.
After all the shocks and scares, visitors can retreat back to their hilltop village of Vinci - birthplace of the legendary artist, inventor and Italian icon Leonardo da Vinci.
The history of the beautiful village can be traced back to the early middle ages.
Vinci is towered over by an imposing castle that is now home to the Leonardo museum, which contains one of the largest and original collections of machines and models fashioned by the legendary creator.
