Have a roaring time on a Tuscany villa holiday
The Prehistoric Park is open daily and features an impressive collection of life-sized dinosaurs set in beautiful gardens.
It was created after a number of fossils were discovered on the site, with dinosaur replicas built to represent each one.
The giant Tyrannosaurus Rex is bound to be a favourite among the children, although visitors can also get up close and personal with woolly mammoths, bears and cavemen.
Each model is accompanied by an explanatory panel which gives information abut the origins of the creature, its habits and details about the fossils found in the area.
Holiday makers renting Tuscany villas in Casciana Terme will be in the perfect location for a quick trip to the park, which is located just outside the village of Peccioli.
A number of quaint medieval towns surround Casciana Terme, which is set in the hills around Pisa. The city of Pisa itself is also easily accessible by car.
