Free wine-tasting on a Tuscany holiday
On June 10th, Santa Croce Wine will be offering holiday makers the opportunity to sample some vino - at no cost.
The free wine-tasting aperitivo could be a great place to visit after a thirsty day seeing the sights and hearing the sounds of the vibrant city of Florence.
According to the Florentine newspaper the occasion is for holiday makers, expats, students, locals and "anyone who loves meeting open-minded, friendly people".
The event will also allow guests to meet winemaker Mattia Barzaghi, who will be "presenting his award-winning Vernaccia wines".
Holiday makers who rent a Tuscany villa in June will see that sunflowers are in abundance, while those who visit in September will be able to witness the grape harvests.
A Tuscany holiday in October will allow people to see the arrival of porcini mushrooms and truffles - so a break at any time of year could be just the ticket.
