Footballers get Tuscany holiday advice
According to the BBC, the players will be missing out if they fail to take in the city's historic architecture and artistic treasures.
"Barry Ferguson and co will not get much of a chance to immerse themselves in the art, literature and architecture that is synonymous with the cradle of the Renaissance movement," the news provider observes.
However, Fiorentina's Stadio Artemio Franchi is nevertheless described as an important example of architecture in the last century.
While it does not rival the iconic dome of the Santa Maria del Fiore, it is viewed as a cathedral by fans on Tuscany holidays who "worship the Viola at each home match", the report claims.
However, players are still urged to explore one of the continent's most "breathtaking" destinations.
Perhaps they can take tips from Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, who are heading on a Tuscany holiday to get tips for Gyllenhaal's new organic LA restaurant, reported Life & Style magazine.
