Experience Sound and Colours on a Tuscany villa break
Sound and Colours takes place annually in Florence's Rignano sull'Arno area, bringing a diverse programme of cultural events to a city that is a popular day trip for those staying in Tuscany villas.
Commencing on August 28th and running until September 14th, events guide What's On When notes that the event's cost is 10 (£8).
The website observes: "Concerts and performances are held at venues including churches, villas and farms in the stunning local countryside."
Past highlights of the event include a tribute to Mozart, including concerts by the Ensemble Filarmonico and theatre shows by the Carbone Prezioso.
Full details of this year's festival are set to be published on the Rignano Comune website.
People thinking of combining a trip to the festival with a Tuscany villa break elsewhere in the region could consider Volterra, which combines iconic city architecture with the quintessential Italian countryside.
