Enjoy a Renaissance exhibition on a Tuscany holiday
Mugello, Cradle of the Renaissance is a show intended to lead visitors on a journey through three centuries of remarkable artistic history, Tuscany holiday makers may be interested to read.
Having commenced at the end of May, the show continues at four sites through the city until November 30th, FirenzeTurismo.it states.
Those on a Tuscany villa holiday can reach the city easily by road or rail and can soak in the wealth of culture available by visiting the Borgo San Lorenzo, San Piero a Sieve, Scarperia and Vicchio.
Each site focuses on a different theme - for example the exhibition in San Piero A Sieve focuses on the crucifixes of Brunelleschi and Donatello, while 16th century armour features in The Medici and their Arms hosted at Scarperia.
Those visiting Florence during the summer captivated by the story of the Medici family can also seek out the walkway used by them to move through the city without having to descend to street level.
