Enjoy Parco delle Cascine on 'any day of the week' on a Tuscany holiday
The park is the biggest public green space in Florence and was used as a game reserve until 1737, according to Whatsonwhen.
After this point it was transformed into a place for leisure by the Grand-Duchy of Lorraine.
The park is always open and always free when events are not taking place so could be the perfect place to visit for people who are looking to have a cheap villa holiday that is easy on the pockets.
A favourite with joggers, horse riders and families who love the fresh air, the park covers over one hundred hectares, so there may be plenty of space for people to relax in comfort and breathe in the fresh Florence air.
