Discover the "beautiful" work of Giovanni Fattori in Tuscany
Featuring more than 130 paintings, etchings and engravings, the exhibition entitled: The Places of Giovanni Fattori: Past and Present, is currently being shown at the Florence Academy of Fine Art.
According to the Florentine, the academy is also home to works by other famous Italian painters including Botticelli and Michelangelo.
The exhibition marks 100 years since Fattori's death and is set across three of the Academy's galleries.
Born in August 1908, Fattori studied art in Florence under the guidance of Giuseppe Bezzuoli, with the young artist initially depicting historical scenes and portraits.
An art lovers paradise, Florence is home to many world-class galleries and museums, including the Uffizi Gallery, Palatina Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art.
