According to the Guardian, the director's Tuscany holiday seemed to have bathed him in a healthy glow.
"Just back from a few days in Tuscany, he exudes health, but also louche parties and late nights, long lunches and sharp gossip," the newspaper observes.
In fact, the rolling Tuscan hills may have been an inspiration for the director's assertion that "a face is a landscape".
This reportedly guided his latest film, in which Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller star as lovers of Dylan Thomas.
A recent report in the Philadelphia Inquirer pointed out that a stay in a Tuscany villa could be a great way to unite grandparents with their children and grandchildren.
Commenting on her own experience, Dorothy Brown claimed that a growing number of families are choosing this option to bridge the generation gap.
