Classical music concerts 'bring Tuscany to life'

Taking place from September 14th until October 4th, the Anima Mundi Festival features a series of "sacred music concerts" at venues across the Tuscany region.

According to What's on When, this year's festival is being directed by British conductor Sir John Eliot Gardiner, who has reportedly travelled to the region along with his two orchestras, the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique and the English Baroque Soloists.

Among other places, concerts will be staged at the Cathedral Museum and the Piazza dei Miracoli.

Also headlining this year's festival is the London Symphony Orchestra which will be directed by Sir Colin Davis.

Meanwhile, those hoping to enjoy a villa holiday in Tuscany this year will find no shortage of other events to keep themselves occupied.

Other festivals taking place over the coming months include the Garden Fair and Montopoli Archery Contest.
