Attend a classical music concert on a Tuscany villa holiday

The annual Anima Mundi Festival will be taking place in the city's Piazza dei Miracoli from September 15th to October 9th.

It will feature a number of performances from orchestras and choirs, including the English Baroque Soloists and the Leipzig String Quartet.

Concerts will take place on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings and afternoons, as well as Tuesday and Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Those hoping to catch some classical music entertainment can purchase tickets from the box office.

They may also wish to rent a villa in the medieval town of Pieve di Compito.

Surrounded by olive groves and within driving distance of both Pisa and Florence, it acts a great base from which to explore Tuscany's many historical sites.

These may include the walled city of Lucca, which is also just a short drive away.
