A Tuscan villa for Easter celebrations
With Easter just a few days away, it is a perfect time to stay in a family villa in Tuscany.
The base can be a launch pad for holidaymakers to join in with locals in Grassina, a small town near Florence, as they put on a procession on Good Friday.
The procession is designed to depict the life and passion of Christ and takes place every year as part of the Easter celebrations.
It is renowned for its colour and vibrancy, and is sure to be a highlight for anyone lucky enough to be on a Tuscany holiday.
The procession starts at 21:30 local time in the village of Grassina, although things kick off earlier in other parts of the town.
After such a culture-rich trip, the rest of the holiday could perhaps be spent relaxing by a pool or walking in the rolling hills.
