'Inspiration to be found in a Tuscany holiday'
Jennifer Mastroianni of the GateHouse News Service said the "idyllic" Tuscan villages, fields of lavender, vineyards and orchards have now inspired her home decor in Alliance, Ohio.
She wrote that her Tuscan experience influenced her purchase of several small fruit trees and that she enjoys sitting on her patio with an Italian-inspired snack such as grilled asparagus wrapped in pancetta.
People planning a villa holiday to Tuscany may wish to seek inspiration of their own on their travels, with many vineyards offering wine tours and cooking classes for holiday makers.
Amanda Hardy of iafrica.com reported this week that her tour of Casciana Terme included lunch in a wine cellar and an afternoon of Tuscan cooking lessons.
She said: "A professional cook will teach you to prepare delicious antipasti, pasta or soup dishes and enjoy the fruits of your labour at the end of your lesson."
