'Fun for all the family' on a Tuscany holiday

Palazzo Strozzi in the heart of the city is offering special family programmes every Saturday morning.

What is more, they are in English - so children will not have to brush up on their Italian before taking part.

According to the Florentine, two different programmes will operate on alternate weekends - Imagining the Cosmos: Seeking Answers in the Stars, along with Stories in the Stars.

Both have been created for children ages 7 to 12 and each offers a "unique way" to explore themes raised by the exhibit Galileo: Images of the Universe from Antiquity to the Telescope, which is running at Palazzo Strozzi until August 30th.

The publication claims Stories in the Stars "combines storytelling and sketching in the galleries", while the other series sees discussions and activities in the galleries followed by "an art workshop where kids (and parents, if they like) create a personal planetarium".

All exhibitions at the Palazzo Strozzi are child-friendly - so no matter what is on, parents can take their kids and find a whole host of activities specifically for them.
