'All heaven and no hell' on a Tuscany holiday
Holiday makers who head to the Italian region toward the end of April could treat their ears to the sound of Songs and Stanzas from Dante's Inferno.
Dante Alighieri's Inferno is one of the foundations of Italian literature. The epic poem is a vision of the Christian afterlife and even gave birth to the Tuscan Italian dialect, so it seems fitting to see such a show on a heavenly Tuscany holiday.
Songs and Stanzas from Dante's Inferno will run from April 23rd to April 24th at the Teatro di Rifredi in Florence.
"Abandon hope, all ye who enter here," was the inscription on the entrance to hell in the famous poem, but those who rent a villa in Tuscany can abandon all their stresses and strains when they enter their villa and relax by their private pool.
