Pieve di Compito, Lucca in Tuscany

This attractive medieval town is set on a hillside amid wooded, mountainous terrain in the north of Tuscany. The village boasts a lovely old church with a bell tower that rises high above the surrounding buildings. Pieve di Compito is a great base for touring the historical sites of Tuscany, with the cities of Florence and Pisa both within driving distance. The village is also superbly located for visiting the historic walled city of Lucca, which can be reached within just a 15 minute drive.
