Many Brits miss a host of home comforts when they take holidays abroad, such as venturing for a retreat in Turkey villas.
A survey carried out by carhiremarket.com has disclosed the main things that holiday makers miss when they are away from the UK.
The most popular answer by respondents to the study was their own bed, which is wished for by 30 per cent of Brits heading abroad.
Motoring has plenty of tourists in despair too, with three per cent missing their own car and the same percentage disliking having to drive on the other side of the road.
Andrew Shorrock, product manager at carhiremarket.com, commented: "Our survey really does show that no matter how appealing a hot and sunny destination might be, us Brits really do savour our home comforts."
When it comes to visiting villas in Turkey though, Tim Morgan, partner at Emerging Real Estate, recently advised that Brits should consider buying property in the country.
The expert pointed out that this is because Turkey is a "real hotspot in Europe" for purchasing residential property overseas.
