Villa in Turkey 'offers base for diverse activities and fun'

Families and couples who stay in villas in Turkey over the coming months will have a plethora of activities and sights at their disposal, according to one expert.

Ozgur Ozaslan, deputy undersecretary responsible for tourism at the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, says there is a "diverse" range of attractions within the country.

He highlights pursuits such as thermal and spa treatment, yachting, winter sports, golf and congress as options for those travelling to the nation.

Meanwhile, he also notes gastronomy is an important factor in luring visitors to Turkey, with the nation's traditional food and drink likely to be a winner with many.

"We wish to make our country even more attractive as a holiday destination to British tourists and we are working very hard to exhibit the myriad diverse offerings," Mr Ozaslan claims.

Conde Nast Traveller magazine recently named Turkey as its top holiday destination in the world.
