Two worlds collide on Turkey holidays

Those renting Turkey villas in Bodrum in the south west of the country will be able to enjoy a fabulous mixture of cultures.

As journalist Diana Lee explains in an article for Mathaba, Turkey is the place where two worlds collide.

Indeed, holiday makers can experience eastern and western cultures all in one place, particularly in Bodrum where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Aegean.

She said tourists will also find a mixture of old traditions and modern developments, with ancient ruins around one corner and contemporary bars, restaurants and other amenities around the next.

"A fascinating peninsula with a fabulous coastline presents a unique balance of quaint traditional fishing villages and vibrant, cosmopolitan towns," she remarked.

Thanks to its "stunning" beaches, bays and coves, Bodrum is popular among water sports enthusiasts and sun worshippers.

Some of the sights that holiday makers may wish to visit are the Castle of Saint Peter, the Amphitheatre and the Mausoleum of Mausolus, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Tourists can rent their own Turkey villas on Bodrum, ensuring they are well-placed to enjoy everything the resort has to offer.

From here they can also head to nearby Gumbet for some lively nightlife, or take a trip to Bacardi Bay beach.
