Turtles of Iztuzu beach enticing Turkey villa holiday makers

Those enjoying a Turkey villa holiday in Dalyan may wish to visit the Caretta Retreat Centre at Iztuzu beach, where some of the country's most famous inhabitants reside.

Open from 10.00 to 18.00 every day, the facility houses and cares for the Caretta Caretta turtles, according to Kaunos Tours.

Many of the creatures are being looked after at the retreat having sustained injuries and will be released back into the wild once they have recovered, so this marks a rare occasion for people to get up close and personal.

On top of welcoming visits from members of the public and tourists, the Caretta Retreat Centre also hosts a variety of talks on the plight of the majestic sea creatures, the website notes.

Every two hours, a lecture is given on how turtles are looked after at the facility, as well as a range of interesting facts about them.

Iztuzu beach, which is only accessible via a boat ride from the mainland, is just one of the many attractions on offer to people staying in a Dalyan villa while on holiday.

They can also visit the town's multitude of restaurants and bars, or explore its lush surroundings.

People on a Turkey holiday to Dalyan this month will also have a chance to see the turtles nesting along Iztuzu beach.
