Turkey wins big at 2011 World Travel Awards
Brits may feel inclined to snap up villas in Turkey once they hear of how well the country has performed at On the Beach's 2011 World Travel Awards.
The in-demand destination scooped 15 accolades at the event, more than any other nation taking part in the ceremony.
One of the awards which may catch the attention of holiday makers is the fact that Turkey's resort of Oludeniz won the title of Europe's Leading Beach Destination.
Meanwhile, Europe's Leading Tourist Board was named as the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, with Alistair Daly, marketing director of On the Beach, keen to provide further praise to the institute.
He noted: "Turkey's Culture and Tourism Office, provides an essential service to visitors to this amazing country and does a sterling job of promoting Turkey's unique culture, while Turkey's clean, safe and beautiful beaches are some of the best in the whole of Europe."
People who decide to book Turkey villas in October have been told that both the Bozburun International Gulet Festival and the International Bodrum Cup comes to the destination next month.
